This spring I have been busier than ever with MI trainings around the country. It’s really thrilling to be asked to be the expert teacher and trainer on a topic I feel so passionate about.
The travel, however, is another story! As I write this I’m on my second of four flights I will take this week. This one was delayed for 2 hours because of weather problems. Lots of sitting and waiting, not fun. I spent the past 3 days in New Orleans and am now off to Phoenix, AZ to speak at the Arizona Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics annual meeting.
The good thing about my travels is that I’m spending time in very interesting cities, working with interesting people, teaching MI. As an undergrad, I dreamed of having such opportunities, to be good at something I value and have the chance to share it with others.
My friend Joan says I’m living my dream and she’s right. Now I just have to resign myself to the difficulties of travel and adjust myself to find the good in it all.
By the way, the last leg of this journey is to Miami to attend my granddaughter, Francesca’s eighth birthday. What a gift!
