I feel strongly that a working knowledge of MI is important for them. I’m the only faculty member at Northeastern with skills in MI and the ability to teach them to others. Each of my courses includes at least a 90 minute “training” in MI. I put “training” in quotes because one short lecture is certainly not enough to be skilled in MI. Still, this workshop provides an introduction to MI, which they might not otherwise receive. My hope is that it whets their appetite for more training and chance to practice MI.
